Hi...My husband has worked for his boss since 2007....he is one of 4 employees its a small business.....he works mon thru sat 8am to 7pm with only sunday off.....for the last 3 years he has tried to take days off....for doctor appts....school events with kids......or simple vacation days for small family trips...he has even tried to take off for his nephews wedding and his uncles funeral.....everytime time he has given wks if not mths notice...minus the funeral....it has always happen a few days prior to the day off...that his boss tells him he cant take the day off....when my husband would say but my appt has been made with the doctor....or trip has been paid for with no way to get a refund his boss will tell him....if u dont show up i will assume you quit and if u go for unemployment i will tell them u quit......now there is another employee who makes the boss more money doing work....that can come and go as wanted....take any day off with no notice.....exm....last wk he got the day off to go to his girlfriends sons ballgame......what can my husband do to get time off needed for doct appt or simply anything...without losing his job,......or being threatened it will be wrote up as he quit? Please help.....my husband really needs to go to the dentist and this is the 2nd yr in a row...he has tried and hisboss wont let him! Thank u in advance l;)
