When my father passed away suddenly a few years ago , my brother and i were told ( by my step-mother ) that we were not willed any thying except for a pool table and a roll-top desk . and we wouldnt have that until she passes away. i really dont believe that my father would turn his back on nmy brother and me.evry time we asked if we cuold see the will she said it wasnt any of our busines..........mMy father and i were pretty close and i realy didnt and still dont blieve that he would leave those two things one each .....dont get me wrong i would b grateful to rec. just one of those two items , but stil we have to wait until she dies ? and if he mentioned us in the will shouldn,t we be entitled to see or hear the reading of the will or trust or both?

There is something missing here. If your father set up a trust and left a will, why wasn't it probated, i.e., filed in probate court? When an estate is probated, the personal representative (also called executor/executrix) is required by law to contact all beneficiaries of the will -- even if all they got was a pool table. |
