A company not paying the money for my service?

Hi,
I was working as a consultant as company "A" as an employee of company "B".
Now that assignment got ended. And company "A" is not paying company "B" for the remaining money for me.
Hence company "B" has also holded my money.
Now I would like to know that is there any forum where I can address this exploitation?

If you were truly an "employee" of Company B, you have more rights than if you were acting as an independent contractor.

For example, in the US, many states have "wage & hour" laws that require an employer to pay you your wages within a specified time period. That fact that Company B was not paid by Company A would not be an excuse for an employees wages to be witheld. The state agencies that enforce these laws take a dim view of employers who don't pay their employees and can take serious legal action against the company.

However, if you were working as an independent contractor for Company B, then your payment would be governed by whatever contract you signed at the time you accepted the work. Many such contracts have a "paid when paid" clause that specifically says that sub-contractors will only be paid when and if the prime contractor is paid. If this is the case, you have very little recourse.

People who work as independent contractors sometimes forget that they are actually in business for themselves. One of the risks of being in business for yourself is that you sometimes may get paid late, or not get paid at all.

If you're an employee of B, they need to pay you, period.

I have had the same issue. The best solution is a letter from you to Company B which technically owes you irregardless of what Compnay A paid you . Unfortuantely Company B probalby got stuff as well so they may not be in a position to pay. It becomes their responsiblity to collect from Company A.

This is a serious legal offence, You have to make a ground first for Suet, Collect all of your documents from A and from B, Don't ask B, rather go and Ask A to pay you, Meet their higher authorities, After that Meet with B authorities and deliver your message, somehow make your day by putting both of them in discussion, something better will come up, or else Suet them
