so im a 14 year old girl who lives in the state of Virginia
I was thinking of getting a job
Is it legal for a 14 year old to work?
If so what kinds of places can you work at?
i want to work at Hollister but I dont think they'll ever have openings.
so please help

I don't know if you can get a job at Hollister at 14. But hey, curiosity doesn't always kill the cat! Ask them. If they say no, ask other stores/restaurants/etc. If that doesn't work, you can always baby-sit, tutor, type papers for kids in summer school, or maybe even something like mowing lawns. I must say, I am surprised that you actually want a job at an early age. If I didn't have to pay for my own gasoline, I wouldn't work at a cafe!

I recommend something in the food industry, but not fast food. I started working at 14 at a coffee shop, and loved it so much I was there for almost 2 years. Now at 18 I have years of different job experiences and have a job that the people I went to high school with couldn't get as easily. I recommend starting at a young age, and getting a first job at a small and locally owned place. |

Hollister does not hire under 18. Yes 14 year olds are legally allowed to work, but you need a work permit. Also you are only allowed to work minimal hours. I think the only places that could hire you are places that would pay mininum wage and usually retail. !4 is kind of a stretch most places hire at 16 and 15 if your lucky. But good luck! |

you have to be older to work at stores or any type of job with taxes on the money. but jobs that are under the table cash like caddying at a golf course for example.. i know it sounds kind of manly but if your a girl you end up getting paid soo much. trust me. its worth it |
