ok,we went to bye an SUV. We traded in our 2000 Dodge ram 1500 for this 2004 Nissan Marrano Well it turned out that the Nissan needed to be returned because the tranny was shot and could not be fixed. So we asked for our trade back and they said no we sold it. it was only a week ago can they do this. what can we do?

They could have had it sold even before you left the lot with the Nissan. You needed to check out the Nissan more closely. Most used cars are sold as is but you could check for warranty. About all you can do is fix it and pay for it.

Of course they could sell your tradein. They could sell it an hour after the deal was finalized if they had a buyer. You didn't own it any more at that time. About all you can do is look for another vehicle.
