A question about sickness: I've been ill for 5 days but only missed 2 days of work?

BUT

I was ill last Friday so I called in sick and then all over the weekend I was ill and yesterday (mon) which was booked as holiday and I'm still sick today (Tues)

Do I need a doctor's note for having 2 days off work?
Additional Details
I have been sick for 5 days but have only missed 2 days of work since yesterday (Monday) was booked off already.

No, you can just fill in a Self-Certification form.

depends on your work. and you don't need one for days your normally off anyways....

Unless you have informed them you ar better, then you are coninuously sick. So monday will not have been taken as a holiday.

So you have been sick a total of 5 days, but only taken 3 days off work.

It's "continuous" days - doesn't matter of any of them are weekends or Bank Holidays, so you've been off SINCE Friday onwards.

If you are away from work on a Friday and Monday it is classed as 4 days. So you have actually been off work for 5 days (wether you usually work weekends or not) so you will need a doctors note.
