In Arizona how long does the employer have to give you your last check after being LAID OFF. Not fired.

If employee is fired: within three working days or next payday, whichever is sooner.
If employee quits: next payday. (Ariz. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 23-353.)
"Laid off" is just a nice way of saying that one was fired, except in most cases a person is "laid off" due to economic reasons, rather than performance reasons.
So, they have 3 working days or until the next payday, whichever is sooner. So, if the working days are Monday through Friday and one was laid off on Friday, they have until the following Wednesday to pay you. |
