A "3'rd interview with a law firm,"?

I had a second interview yesterday for a TC, i've now been told that I may have to have another interview???

It is for a small high street firm ,

I'm getting fed up now.

Don't get fed up - I have known people who had to have 4 or 5 interviews.
Take it as a good thing that they want to see you again as it means that you are in with a good chance.
Smaller firms can sometimes be more selective in their interview process as they want to ensure that they get someone who will be a good fit for the company.

Three interviews to be a toilet cleaner in a law firm? That's rough.

Don't get fed up, especially if you want/need the job. Just go to the third interview and see what happens from there.

That's a GREAT sign, you fool!

They would not waste their time on a 3rd interview if they weren't serious, and if you're coming thru with such scrutinization to make it to #3, it's usually because #3 is the OFFER!

Wake up....these days job openings are getting 50-100 applicants per posting, compared to only 20-30 just 18 months ago. They have to filter through all those to pick the best, and if you're the best of 100, you have nothing to be fed up about....you should be drinking champagne soon!

tah_london
Sindy you are in luck.

From experience the law firms in London receive 3000 applicants for 3 trainee solicitors jobs per year.

2997 can't make it to the job.

3rd interview , attend it.

That probably means that they are struggling to choose between you and one other person. If you're not bothered about the job, you can tell them you don't want to bother.

Do you want the job or not? Deal with it. Your lucky you have a 3rd, that means they are seriously looking at hiring you. Go work for McDonalds if you're not willing to put in time for this job.

This company is willing to provide a financial living for someone and you begrudge them the right to be careful about to whom they give it?

I can tell that you've been told that you 'can be anything you want' since the day you were born and now you're angry that you were lied to.

Actually, multiple interviews are pretty typical.
Usually there's a phone interview, followed by in-person interview, maybe a few more with other high-up people in the company you may work with - and if they're still struggling to decide, another interview may follow.

I.E. Google has up to six interviews before an IT potential may be hired.

I was interviewed four times for an *internship* before I was hired.

It's just another hour or so of your life, fight through it and you may have a job afterward instead of having to go through the entire process all over again with a new company.

Think of it as this: this law firm is investing in you. They want to make sure you can deliver, as you would if you were giving your money to someone for performing a task - you'd want to make sure they're qualified. Thoroughly.

That is a good sign ! just be patient ! they may have alot of people interviewing & forget who they interviewed, at least your name keeps coming up ! Good Luck !

there is a probably system, you probably seen the office manager, then the training partner, then the managin partner etc etc. Its boring but as there are so many graduates the ball is in their court... so to speak. so long as you get your two years who cares how many interviews they want. I work in a law firm and the left never knows the right is doing, you can never get all the partners together at the same time and no one ever agrees on anything first time around! its called office politics... and no two partners work alike, so you'll do your six months with one partner, think you've got the firm sussed, move department and that partner works completely differently. its a nightmare. and trainees are at the bottom of the pile!

gee ill be going through this in another year. they must really like you, remember personality will get you the job. be warm, friendly and eager to help. thats what they like to see. they know that you are able to do the "job" because you got the degree, now sell yourself,
