A sophmore in high school needing help with colleges. Whats a good school for Lawyers?

I am still in high school but I would like to start requesting info from colleges now. Is there anyway you can have scholarship stuff sent to your house, I use fastweb. But I also want some stuff from colleges sent to my house. Information about their college and programs. But it seem as if whatever you cant get online or get right up to them and ask it, your not going to be able to get it. In a couple of years your not going to be able to use the rest room because it needs to be charged or the server is down or something. BUT ANYWAY, I want to be a Lawyer or a Pediatrician. What degrees do you need for those (and what are minors when it comes to college) When asking about stuff on college websites what would I click on to get info about those two careers listed above. They are catagorized. They say sutff like Criminal Justice and Safety stuff. Or Health whatever. It doesnt just say LAWYER or PEDIATRICIAN. I hope I am explaining myself clear enough.

At this point, I would simply focus on a 4 year degree. Law school is too much of a financial and personal risk. With the way the legal market is now, there aren't enough jobs for lawyers like there are for physicians. Lawyers don't make a lot of money contrary to what people think. Most of them struggle to make a living because of the debt they incur just paying for law school. You'll live a much happier and healthier life without law school. |

Both professions require a 4 year degree. You can major in anything and still go to law school. There is no required major for going to law school. However, most people choose criminal justice or political science. These majors will give you a background in law and will give you a good idea as to whether or not you really want to proceed to law school.
I am really not sure what major you would need to choose in order to become a pediatrician. Its probably similar to becoming a lawyer in that you probably dont need a certain degree to go to medical school (don't quote me on that though).
You can request colleges send information to your home. All you have to do is go to the school's website, select perspective student, future student or whathever the case may be and then you should be able to request a catalog be sent to you.
Its a little early for you to request information from colleges since you are a sophmore in high school. By the time you are a senior in high school a lot of the information will have changed. You may want to wait until the start of your senior year to begin requesting information.
Good Luck! |

Both professions will require your 4 year undergrad degree and 3+ more years in the field you choose. Request information from the website, I'm sure you can find a number to admissions online and call if you can't get the correct info online. Some schools don't have a law or medical school. The state you want to go to school in would be helpful here. |

First of, you will need to attend a good college and highly excel academically and extra-circularly (internships, volunteer, study abroad).
For law school, you would apply to the top universities of your choice with a very good lsat score and GPA.
To become a pediatrician, you would need to attend medical school which requires the mcats and also excellent grades with a very strong emphasis on science.
Those two fields are incredibly different. Law requires analytical thinking and arguing skills; medical school requires a more scientific mind with an apt for biology and chemistry. Both fields require passion as they are as challenging as they are rewarding.
Contact colleges that fit your extrapolated GPA and resume and request for brochures. Plan early and begin to study for the SATs and aim for above 2000. |

just my opinion but if it is your dream pursue it, but if you want to be a lawyer for money, then don't go to college, it's a waste of money. |
