I don't think a job description is a "requirement." however, if you feel you need a job description you can ask your employer to type on up...I guarantee they will add something at the end like "other duties as assigned" |

do you mean in respect to what the requirements and limitations of the job are? for canada I do not know, but if you are looking to move up within the company, you shouldn't really worry about that. If the company is taking advantage of you by asking too much responsibility, and the job duties are constantly changing, then just tell your supervisor your concern, and ask him/her to put your job description in writing. You do not have to be legally entitled to a job description to have one. |

I was working at one place and they finally made job description. Mine was 10 lines that basically said I had to do what this manager said, that manager said, the other manager said and cleaning.
You can call the labour board (obviously not on the weekend) and they love to answer your questions
