Sure i know it's a work placement and they don't have to give you a job at the end of it, but i can't help but think i'm being used to do 4 full days a week, for no pay other than the job benefit's, which is just well can i swear on here. it gets worse, i have been placed in the back of the van about 4 times now, which i hear is illegal unless it has a proper seat, which is hasn't. when i try to go on check out i get pulled off and then i get told, they haven't got insurance for me to go on the till. so do they have insurance for me in the back of the van???. i have been in the shop but mostly in the bunker (place where they collect and store products) and have been doing the job for 7 weeks now i only have 6 weeks left. i also get told i don't try hard enough for jobs, which i think is bull, i really try my best and besides i was trying to get a job in the shop. you know it is just like i'm not even welcome to work for nothing. so yeah back to my question. am i being used or are they just testing me to see if i notice somethings wrong. any advice will be great.

Theu're treating you like shite mate. Employers signed on to a placement scheme are supposed to be presenting you with the same level of respect they would require of a full employee. Tell them to stick it and find somewhere better. |
