I might not get the offer. may just sit at home for nothing. The offer came to me out of sudden. At the same time I am not happy with my current job. I so much wanted the new offer ! Additional Details Head hunter came to me for the offer [better pay ofcourse and it's the job I dream of], but they are taking time to go through the process while my current company whould want to confirm me soon [I'm not happy with this job] for permanent employment.

you don't have to wait for a reason to quit a job you don't like. pursue your passion it will make you a better person. |

If you don't get the offer would you have quit your job anyway? If you were going to quit no matter what, it doesn't matter. But if you NEED to work and would have kept working at this job until you found something else, it's better to keep the job until you know for sure.
Good luck. |

Nooo, I would never leave a job unless I had another to go to.
Unless you have the money to cover your vacation (if you dont get the new job), then you shouldnt do it. |

Usually the answer is NO. You have not received any confirmed offer yet. Until you see it in writing, you might not even be satisfied with the terms of your new offer! What if they tried offering you a salary that was too low, for example?
Not having a current job makes it much more difficult to negotiate the terms of your new offer, because the new company knows that you're unlikely to turn them down!
I wouldn't even let your new employer know that you're going to quit your current job no matter what. Assume that a potential employer likes you. If you still have a job, that turns the tables on them... now they'll have to give you an attractive enough package to entice you to leave your old job.
If you're unemployed, many employers will think that you're completely available and they'll even wonder why you couldn't stick around at your old job.
Unless your old job is so horrible that you are incapable of handling it, tough it out. In most cases, you'll be glad you did. |

Do not resign from your present job until you are sure you will get the new job. There are many things you have to consider before accepting the new job. Are you sure you are going to be happy and grow in this new job?
Peace and blessings! |

Yes. I would not resign until you have an offer firmly in place. Its better that you wait until you know for sure. And if they want you the dream company will understand that you must give your notice, which is usually two weeks. So be patient and give it some more time. Good luck! |

It really comes down to your personal financial situation. If your satisfied that you can pay the bills in the event the other job falls through and your miserable at the current job then i'd say go for it. If things are tight right now I'd wait. I've been in both situations |
