I know an employer cannot ask you medical question until after an offer of employment was made, and then only if they ask every applicant. My question is however, do you still have to disclose this information then? Or, can you decide to keep it private or answer no?

Medical Examinations and Inquiries
Employers may not ask job applicants about the existence, nature, or severity of a disability. Applicants may be asked about their ability to perform specific job functions. A job offer may be conditioned on the results of a medical examination, but only if the examination is required for all entering employees in similar jobs. Medical examinations of employees must be job related and consistent with the employer's business needs.

you do not have to disclose the nature of your disability to your employer but once they find out you are disabled they may try find other ways to terminate your employment with them |

You can do what you want....but you most likely will sign a at will clause when you hire in..............you can be terminated at any time without reason........ |

You do not have to disclose it BUT if you ever try to use it as a reason why you need more sick days, special working conditions, etc your employer does not have to accommodate you and can let you go with fear of you suing (well you could sue but you would not win) If you think if will ever affect your work then do your self a favor and protect your self by telling them. |
