Anyone know about final paychecks?

How long does an employer have to give out an employee's final paycheck?
I'm not sure if this varies from state to state, but I am in Oklahoma if that makes a difference.
I was let go April 30th, and still no paycheck. Owner's have not responded to calls or emails. Not sure what I need to do, or if I can do anything yet.

when was the regular payday for the last pay-period you worked?
if it has passed you need to call the employer and if they do not make immediate arrangements to pay you then file a wage claim with the state.

Send a certified letter stating that you will be seeking legal counsel to take this employer to court if you do not see your final paycheck within 7 days. Contact your stateâ€™s department of labor office for the laws in your state, but in most states once you REQUEST the final paycheck, they have between 24-72 hours to provide it without penalties.

Thankfully, you are protected here. You are deserved that money, and any good company would have provided you with a live check on your last day at work. Or, if you quit without notice, provided a live check to you within 48 hours.
