I was hired, waited a month, went to orientation, then let go a couple days before my first day of work because the recruiter (in CA) found a class C misd, which was non felony nor theft or violence, sent me an email asking why I havve it, before I replied they email we must revoke our offer. I was devistated and havent been able to find a job since( not due to this reason no other employers have cared about a disorderly conduct) and atleast they ask why I have it. I feel this is totally against the law, one lawyer friend said an experienced employee law attorney could make several suits against both companies and most likely get me a settlement is he right?

are u people even lawyers or wanna bes? there was no spot on the application that asked do you have a misdemeanor, it aked do you have any FELONIES??? most applications juts screen for felonies, i never lie on my application, most applications that ask for do u have any felonies or mis i put yes i have a misd, and i never get a call back. lets see, i see discrimination, wrongful termination, punitive damages, lost wages u morons that arent lawyers why are u even posting responses u are uneducated idiots who see someone might have a real lawsuit and you get pissed just mind your own business and browse a topic u know about

I think you need to calm down, you don't need to be on here calling people names.
Are you talking about Apple the computer company? You can try and sue them for a number of things, however, think about it. You're talking about a multi billion dollar company with practically unlimited resources... It would cost you a lot of time, and a lot of money, to even begin to sue them.
I think you should just continue your quest to find a job. We're in a recession right now, so it's next to impossible to find a good paying job.

You weren't honest on your application or you would have told them about your problem and that is lying on your application and they do have the right to not hire people who lie. and in this day and age if you want a job, don't lie about anything on an application. trying to sue is just a waste of time since you didn't disclose up front about your crime. |
