At 28 how difficult would it to start a career in: Journalism, Law, or Academia?

I'm 28 years old and have been living abroad and teaching English as a foreign language since finishing University. I now want to move back to the UK and feel like becoming a teacher is my only option. Am I too old to start a career in another field?
