Becoming a lawyer.....?

I always had trouble figuring out the right details necessary to become a lawyer. How many years of scooling is needed? How much English do you really need to know? Is extremely high marks in English necessary? The troubles about entering law school? And how much money do you earn approximately?

You need a minimum of 3 years of Bachelor of Arts, then you have to write the Law School Aptitude Test (LSAT), your marks must be in the top 90th percentile. Law school itself takes three more years. Then you must article (kind of like an apprenticeship) with a law firm while you get ready to write the bar exams. After that you become an actual lawyer.

You need good marks because the competition for spaces is very fierce, and it can be difficult to get in.

A lawyer can earn anything from $60,000 per year in the beginning up to $100,000 or even more if they are an employee in a corporation. If they have their own office, then how much they earn depends on how hard they work and how good they are. Some top lawyers earn $250,000+. It depends on what kind of law you specialize in. Corporate lawyers make a lot of money.
