California Required Sick leave?

My Boss has been losing money in his business and has taken away all of are sick days and family leave is this illegal or can he do as he wills?

YES the employer can discontinue the practice of paying for sick or personal days actually they can take away any paid time off (PTO) except accrued (already earned) vacation time.
California considers "earned" vacation time as wages so that you must receive.
earning any future vacation time can be stopped as PTO is not a requirement of law.
