I have this problem and i don't know what to do! I started a new job. In my interview i was told i would be making 9.50 a hr. Well i took the job and when pay day came around i got my paycheck and it said i was Only making $7.85!!!! I was SO mad. So i went to my boss and she said i would have to wait to talk to the HR. Well The HR who hired me had quit right after he hired me. So they we in the middle of getting a new on. Finally three days before the next pay day we got the new HR. So i went to him and he said there is nothing he can do because the lady who was there for a week after the one guy quit put that as my hiring pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So i went and put my two weeks in and right when i did that a lady said they will change it because she heard the man say he will pay me 9.50!

they said that will give me the back pay and i next check will have the right amount of pay on it...and once again they lied they still havent changed it. I was wondering if there was anything i could do? To make them change it! And stop playing game.

Should i call they labor board?

Definitely call your labor board. But did you get anything in writing stating that that would be the starting pay or that they would correct it? You definitely want to report it, but I wouldn't get my hopes too high, cause they're sure to give you the run around, so be prepared to be very persistent!
