[Long Story]
I was dating someone; and her mom is a CEO of a company.. but BEFORE i even started dating her, or knew who she was or that her mom was in corporate. i already been working for the company.
FAST FORWARD.. someone threatened me and she [liked it] , and so i broke up with her daughter, so few weeks go by and im fired from my job.. for no reason, i understand my job is an at will company.. but i don't understand why i got fired and they said they was cutting hours, yet they hired several new people for the same position i was in along with that they had signs up saying they was hiring also. [something isn't adding up] . so it was only a day later that i got laid off and the daughter knows.[note: i haven't spoken to her in 2 months] but she knows the next day that i got fired.. how when it was a Saturday, and the day she finds out is a SUNDAY?? HER MOTHER... [i didn't tell no one i got fired lol THATS EMBARRASSING i didn't want nun of my friends to know].... and i have evidence that supports everything im saying, text records, pictures, and facebook status.. i even took pictures of them... but do i have a case???

It's going to take a lot of money to bring a lawsuit against a company and most likely they will have their butts covered.. meaning they will provide proof you were let go for legitimate reasons even if it's not true. In all honesty, it's probably not worth fighting.
But you could talk to a lawyer and in some cases, lawyers will take a case pretty much for free up front. They will want paid from the money received in the lawsuit... and if you win nothing they get paid nothing. But obviously they will only do this if they think they can win the case. Call around to a few lawyers and ask for a free consultation. Many offer that, you just need to call and ask. Then you can decide if you want to take it further from there based on what the lawyer says. |
