Technically yes you can. Employers have to have an objective method of selection and sickness/absence levels can be one method chosen.
However, if the reason for your absence is for an ongoing reason then you could be covered by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 which prevents less favourable treatment for people covered by this act. If this applies to you, then disregarding your absence by reason relating to your disability would be considered a reasonable adjustment under the act, and therefore have to be done by your employer.

you may likely be made redundant if after 3 months you have not recover from your sickness. you may be considered for redundandcy if you have an history of sickness or always sick. |

Yes. Otherwise, everyone would go on sick leave to avoid getting the chop. If the employer can't afford to pay 1 person, he can choose who he wants. |
