Just to clarify, I'm a MI residence working for a US based company but on foreign assignment. I do however, get paid in foreign currency and pay taxes in country I'm residing. I did also file and pay both federal and MI taxes for last year.

No. To be eligible for Unemployment Insurance you must have worked for a company and/or organization that is licensed to operate here in the United States or located in the United States. Main reason being is if the organization was outside of the country you did not pay the taxes for this benefit or any Federal/State/City taxes. |
