You cannot collect unemployment if you have been fired for misconduct. But your employer has to prove that you were fired for misconduct. For a violation of a company rule to be misconduct, your employer has to prove the all of the following:
1.That it had a rule,
2.That you knew about the rule, and that you broke the rule.
If you can find loopholes in the above rule, then there is a ray of Hope !!

Misconduct which is a defined "cause of action" for dismissal/firing from a job does not entitle the offender to receive unemployment compensation - - in California.

Good luck!

Be sure to document everything as it has happened or will happen. Every incident and date that something happened.

Document and notes will save you! File a claim and talk to the Unemployment office

No, problem not.

When you get fired for misconduct - you are eligible for unemployment at the previous employers discretion.

Your employer must PROVE that you were discharged for misconduct. Explain to your caseworker that you were left with a problem customer, and things got out of hand. If you honestly commited misconduct, do not file. They will have it on video & show it during an appeal hearing.
