well my aunt is fully blind and mostly deaf, and she works at a hardware store, so i think that if she can work, adn not be able to see anything..
so i think that if you really put your mind to it you could.. but then again i live in CA, US.. so i could be wrong.. |

Here in the US, to be a cop you must pass a physical agility test and psychological test. I think you should be good to go. |

Wow...I hope not. In my County all they need is a GED not even a high school diploma..can have multiple misdemeanor's even Battery charges, minor drug possession,
and DUI..Drunk Driving. Then they give these people tazers, guns, and cars. No wonder we have so much police brutality.
I think UK has higher standards than USA... It can't hurt to apply. |

Why not apply and see, the selection procedure is very difficult, but if you are physically fit and have a good education, you will have a chance. |

I think you have to pass a medical - you do to become a PCSO so I assume it will be the same. As for point number 2, all you can do is try. It was only a caution! |

would have done a few years ago i think but I'm not sure now they are always asking for new recruits aren't they you should give it a try the worst they will say is no. |

One the record would take you out of the running but worst of all the hearing would be the big bug bear.
Imagine a top solicitor gets winds of your hearing problem and your statement is based on what you heard all he needs to do is proven reasonable that what you heard was not what was actually said guy walks free. |
