Can a employer fire you from your job if you do not take their health insurance?

They could, but that would be pretty weird.

Employers can fire you for many things but, not taking their health insurance is not one of them. You cannot be legally terminated for not taking your employers health insurance.

No way! Does this job require you to HAVE some type of health insurance? I could see an employer firing someone for not having ANY health insurance, but as far as refusing theirs, they don't have a legal leg to stand on.

I don't think that an employer can fire you if you do not accept their health insurance. May it be a case that your job is considered dangerous and you do not have or cannot provide proof of health insurance provided by another company? If not then this may be grounds for unfair dismissal as health insurance is usually an optional bonus and if it was required from the beginning of the employment then the company should have addressed this before the employee began working with them. Seek the advice of a lawyer or type unfair dismissal into your search engine and go on to a site where you can receive a quote which is in your country or local area. Also, if you signed a contract with the company check the copy they gave you or request a copy of the copy that is held by them that you signed at the beginning of the employment. When you have obtained this check whether or not it is written into the contract that you have to take their health insurance, if so then you may be stuck as you signed a contract, but still seek the help of a lawyer as there may still be a way out of this. If you do not find a section in the contract which states that you must accept the company's health insurance then use this against them in a court of law if it gets to this stage. I hope this helped. Good luck and stay positive and optimistic! :D
