I have one count of writing one bad check for $40 This happen back in 2006 and I haven't did anything since and that is the only thing on one background check! Also, will that come off my record?

A misdemeanor in of itself is not grounds for denial of employment opportunities unless the misdemeanor is directly related to the issue of moral turpitude, thievery, assault, etc.

Im not sure. A bad Check is kinda bad so I dont think so. Also it depends on the person that is/wants to hire you.

Prospective employers can choose to reject applicants for any number of reasons ... among which may be bad appearance, manners, attitude etc. Any kind of criminal record could reasonably be considered a "kiss of death" !
Nobody is obliged to hire anyone they consider "unsuitable". |

if they do a police check possibly.
the best thing to do is go to the police station and ask for a background check on yourself.
see what comes up.
you can also ask for a pardon through a judge and have it taken off your file. |

they may not hire you for many reasons and 1 bad check may do it but they do not have to give you a reason in any event. it could be the hairstyle that turned them off or the color of your dress |
