Isn't it against the law for an employer in Pennsylvania to deny an employee to go to a scheduled doctors appointment during a work day?

Absolulely no law forces any employer to give you time off from work to see a doctor during work hours. Some companies do, but they don't have to.
Doctors offices are open in the evening and on weekends, so that is when you should schedule your appointments if your company does not give you time off to do so. |

Yes they can. Especially if you have no accumulated sick or personal leave time accumulated. It would only be illegal if the illness fell under those illnesses covered by the Family Medical Leave Act AND if you and the organization met the FMLA criteria. |

I think so; but most employers offer 3 half days for doctors or dentist appointments,within one calendar year.after that you have to use floater days or a vacation day, or call in and lose a days pay.ALL the employer has to do is call the doctor to check to see if in deed you do have an appointment.. |
