Depends on what you were charged for. Misdemeanors dont matter but if you have a felony conviction then it might affect your ability to go into this field. I suggest you talk to someone at your local court, they often have information on this. It might not make it impossible, maybe just more difficult to pursue a career as a probation/parole officer.
