Can i get the sack?

after working in a department for more than 13 years, whilst off sick for 4 days, i printed off some private work on the works pc. i have been told this is fraud and that i am facing disciplinary measures.

Depends on the Company's policies on use of their equipment and probably on the nature of your "private work". I would think it also depends on your performance history and any other discipline you have received.

Some companies do have very strict policies regarding the use of their equipment and you may have violated this policy. Check your employee handbook or any acknowledgements you may have signed.

I cant see how it could be fraud.....u werent pretending to be someone else.... a lot of companies dont allow ppl to copy or print things without permission so u could face disciplinary action if ur company has such a policy.
Technically it could also be seen as theft seeing as u used company materials....but a few sheets of paper & a bit of ink...its not much...just tell em ur willing to pay for what used.
