Can i quit if i am under investigation?

Been suspended under investigation full pay myself and a few other employees as the tills were down, Either way i will not be returning as i cannot cope with the negative atmosphere and the rumours going around, so i want to quit as i already have a job lined up, am i allowed to quit whilst under investigation i.e; will the police then get involved?
Please help as i cannot stand my job!

You can quit, but why make yourself look guilty when you are on full pay for sitting at home. Quit when they have finished investigating, it's common sense if you aren't guilty and you might aswell have the extra money if you are. |
