I am working with an Indian private Bank. I have recently got a good offer in another company and they are ready to pick my notice period pay, as they want me to put on a poject which is very important and extremely timebound. I can give a maximum 10 days notice period. what are the options for me.

when you give your written resignation.
1.dont tell them that your giving notice of your resignation.
2.when you give them your resignation that its imediate
and final.
they can except it or not. |

The worse they can do is withhold benefits owing to you. It all depends on your contract. |

Look into your appointment letter. These kinds of situations are not specified in the same. However, there is no bar that your resignation letter cannot be accepted. The employer ,in any case, does not like any unwilling employees. Rest assured your resignation would be accepted. Try to talk to the HR of your bank.I am sure they will be of help. |

Talk to your HR Deptt. Usually they won't make any objections, because your carrier is at stake. In private sector everybody knows that job change is imminent. They may raise some legal points in your contract. At the most they can with hold the pay for the notice period. Nothing more than that. They can not stop you physically. Go ahead. Give the necessary intimation and move forward. Whether they accept it or not you have to move forward.
Think once again ! Is the present offer a better one?
