Can i sue the railroad? Any smart lawyers out there?

I worked like a dog for 21 yrs on section gangs on the railroad. I retired in 1996. My doctor just told me that all those years of work have did serious damage to my body.....He said specificly that it was the railroad. Since i have just found out...can i sue under the F.E.L.A.?

You need to talk to a lawyer.
And you need to realize that some persons will reply here, that have NO IDEA OF HOW long term medical damage can happen, and what your rights should be.

u need to consult a lawyer, anyone can sue, the question is do you have standing (a legal basis for the claim) or will it be tossed out. we need to know your company position on work conditions and how past issues have been addressed because you are not the first, i can assure you.

Yeah thats cool after 12 years of being retired your doctor is telling you this now. Sounds like a real piece of work and you wanting to sue for what them allowing you to have a job obviously the work wasn't that bad or you would have quit long before you hit 21 yrs.
