I recently found myself in a situation where my career is being threatened due to "poor job performance" But, this was the first I've heard of it. So, I made my own personal performance documents for my supervisors to sign... But, my boss threatened them so they wouldn't sign my document. And, also called me on my day off at home reprimanding me for trying to get it signed. Is this legal?

Your boss can certainly refuse to allow your supervisors to sign anything which is work related without his permission. No business would allow that sort of alternate, employee created document, I don't think.
Incidentally, your job performance rating probably just took a hit for bad attitude. Your correct response when receiving a poor evaluation is to say "Thank you sir, I appreciate the feedback" and work on improving it. |

Idea: You can put "See attached" on THEIR copy of their evaluation papers and attach YOUR copy of your own performance documents. But you can't make them sign anything.
I would advise that you start looking for another job - QUIETLY. You are now going to be viewed as a "trouble-maker".
It is not a good idea to seek legal advice over the Internet - the field of Law is too complex for that.
Call your local (usually county) bar association. Ask them for names of attorneys that handle employment law for employEES.
When you call the law office(s), insist on speaking with the Lawyer. Do not tell all the little details of your matter to the Secretary - save the details for the Attorney.
When you get the Lawyer on the phone line, ask him/her:
- Do they have free, initial consultations?
- How much do they charge?
- Do they allow payments on their accounts?
- Can they help you? OR Refer you to someone who can help you?
