Can my employer fired me? ?

I got injured at work my DR released me to work on lite duty but missed days of work after being released cannot get excused from time off

It depends on the state. But when you got injured and the same is recorded , they can terminate you only after payment of compensation & that too if the injury makes you unfit to do the work.

if the doctor released you and the employer provided the lite duty then you must work..........if you were absent for any other reason then you could be terminated with cause for the absenteeism.

why did you miss work?
were you able to perform the lite duty?
have you followed all your states guidelines for workers compensation?
