Can permanent residents become licensed attorneys?

As stated, because I am in college right now and planning to go to law school. I might just go and take my citizenship test if it's required now.

What state are you in? You need to check the licensing requirements of the state you intend to practice in to find out whether it is required.

However, as far as I know, it is not requirement (to be a US citizen) to be a licensed attorney. It may limit you with the job (i.e. if you want to be an Assistant US Attorney and work for the federal government, that may require citizenship). But, if you want to be in private practice, not working for the federal government, it should be fine.

EDIT: Just saw where you are (PA). Requirements to be admitted to the bar in PA can be found below:
http://www.pabarexam.org/Bar_Examination/Bar_Admission_Instructions.htm
and
http://www.pabarexam.org/Admission_Rules/Bar_Admission_Main_Menu.htm

and
http://www.pabarexam.org/Admission_Rules/Rules_and_Regulations/204.htm
and

It does not appear to contain a requirement that you be a US citizen.
