I live in Nevada. I have a good paying state job and they didn't run a background check on me. Thankfully, as I do have a couple misdemeanors from when I was 18. Although each state is different. If you have the record sealed then it may still show up on a background check if they were to fingerprint you. |

No matter if it is "expunged or sealed", there are ways the government can still check these secret files. The best thing to do is to work your way up and prove you're a trustworthy and upstanding citizen and DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID. |

Not if it is just sealed, but if it is expunged as long as it is not a felony, you should be able to get a government possition. |
