typically no.
you have 2 gateway checks Law school- they ask you on your application if you have committed a felony, and if so to explain. they can deny you. if you lie and they find out they can rescind their degree or expel you.

BAR- each state does a bar check, with references.

Depends on the felony, nature around it.

doesnt look good though, can tell you that.

exceptions are made, but rarely.

Yes but committing a felony while praticing law will get you disbarred. Alot of form felons have gone on to successful legal careers.

No, however, you can petition the bar in your area to reconsider. If you can find the person who brought the charges against the wanna be lawyer - and the "victim" will drop the charges then the bar will reconsider and you can get passed by the bar.

It depends what the felony is. That could have a wide variety of meanings so there's no way we could know with this level of information.

only in certain states my mom has felonys and shes studying to be a lawyer you just have to figure out which states its legal to be a lawer

You should be able to. The lawyers now are felons,they just haven't been convicted!

Sure you can I live in Ohio and I personally know of one guy who was convicted of a murdering a cop and a superintendent (spell check) and he was accepted into lawschool and now a practicing lawyer. So if he can do it anyone can.
