I have made up a signature that actually isn't my name. Can i use this to sign documents. It is kind of a nickname people call me.

The point here is not HOW you sign it, but THAT you sign it in agreement with the intent of the contract or as evidence of compliance. The proper interrogative would be "is this your signature?" and not "is this your name?"
Even though my traditional signature is my initials with a long horizontal trailing tail and a random "i" dot, the lack of a legal name has absolutely no influence on the act of signing and the legal obligations involved.
Your biggest hurdle, as with many responses here, would be the inductive assumption that the integrity of a signature is dependent on the form of the signature itself. Good Luck.

your signature must match the name on the document you are signing.
most legal documents include a list of all known aliases for those who are signing. |

If this concerns legal documents and your nickname is not recorded somewhere as being legal then your signature is worthless and could be considered fraudulent. Now, what recourse will you have ? |
