Car fill of balloons in a shopping centre legal? ?

Hi i was wanting to buy a new car and put it in a busy shopping centre and then fill it with ballons and the person to guess the right amount takes the car i think it would be a good money maker and was just wondering if it was legal and stuff like that.If two or more guessed same would be done in a draw. thanks
Additional Details
Wow thoose where quick replies! thanks ok yea i understand that i would have to seek the permission of the centre first and pay my floor rent,I was just wondering about like is this legal for me to make a profit at this cause i see this sort of things done for charity but obviously i would personally be buying the car. Would there need to be another to draw the number if to get the same?

In the U.S., it's not legal for a private individual to conduct a raffle or drawing for their own personal benefit. It's OK to do it if you're raising funds for an authorized charity. I don't know what the laws about that are like where you are (since you said "centre", I'm assuming you're not in the U.S.)

There would be lots of legal issues that you would have to be aware of before doing this. You would need the permission of the owner of the parking lot. You would need to observe the sweepstakes laws of your state.

Rtfm is wrong because it is not illegal by federal law but by most state laws assuming you are charging a fee to participate. You haven't said how you plan to get money off the operation. The raffling off of cars in shopping centers is commonly done by companies trying to collect personal information from shoppers. There is no entry fee and they make their money off of selling information on people to marketers. Charities usually make money off of raffles by getting the prizes donated.

you'd probably need to contact someone in the mall office and get permission.

Actually no... You'd need to get a 'Car full of balloons in a shopping center' permit.

Yes, this is fine but is depends on four things

1) the make of car (**** boxes are not to be displayed in a busy centre, they are offensive and not something to be attained, such as Hyundais, Lancers and Kia's)

2)colour of balloons (Black and yellow are illegal, for racial reasons)

3)whats contained in the balloons (normal air is too expensive and a big **** you to developing countries - illegal, fake air- legal)

4)what the money will be used for (ie arms business- legal , to purchase a shitty car like an Hyundai Excel - illegal)
