go to your county courthouse and ask - then you will have to follow up with your social security card, drivers license, credit cards, bills, subscriptions, etc |

OK, well first off, people arent going to automatically start calling you by a different name. Switching from high school to college or getting a new job and being in a new area would be a good start to that, but just telling people "hey, call me this now!" wont work. If you think it will, tell people to start calling you it now. if your in the middle of school or a job though, chances are it wont stick.
