Co-worker rage?
Find answers to your legal question.

Co-worker rage?

A co-worker recently pointed her finger in my face repeatedly VERY close and was yelling and rageful.

What would you HONESTLY do?

What would you expect mgt to do?

Would you feel safe working there again?

LD
I would go speak to HR.

Chronic IL
I would calmly tell her to calm down and get her finger out of my face. I would expect management to write her up and warn her at a minimum. I might feel safe if management handled it properly. Otherwise, what is your sanity worth? Is it easier to get another job or put up with this?

hr4me
I would honestly make sure that I reported all the facts and names of any witnesses who heard or saw what happened to both HR and Management of the company. Document your complaint and information to both parties and keep a copy of your report at home. I would expect management to look in to the situation and interview any people who were around to get all the details of the situation and report back to you.

I guess it would depend on the person involved. Does this kind of stuff happen a lot to them? Do they "go off" on people a lot? If this was a case where the person was a loose cannon and frequently prone to outbursts and threats, I don't know that I would feel safe being there. If this was a first time for them and things seem to be calmed down now, I might just chalk it up to a bad day for both of you.
