Yes, because the job you are being offered carries a substantial pay differential, you are not obligated to accept it and can claim UI instead. Make sure that your employer states that your reason for leaving is due to a position elimination. Good luck. |

You cannot collect unemployment as long as you are employed. If you choose to leave, you can collect unemployment, but unemployment pays you 2/3 of your former salary. That said, you would lose your benefits as well.
Of course, that is a decision only you can make. |

Take the job.......look for another......you will loose your benefits and a substantial reduction in wages......keep it until you find another..... |

In most cases , yes.
It depends upon whether your employer reports to the Unemployment office that your job was eliminated. check with your HR dept. |
