Well i applied for unemployment about 3weeks ago after being fired a month prior, I was terminated because i yelled at the human resource manager (basically was more of the dominant voice in an argument) i did not curse him however- this will be my first time collecting unemployment but I didn't know if i am- I received the debt card (i reside in Louisiana) in the mail and a monetary determination letter (basically stating what i will receive money wise and the length of time) i went to the link to view account activity and my first weekly claim said processed but no monetary dollar amount was listed. I look at account activity and it said i have a hold on my account because of investigation of discharge, severance, etc. I was wondering since everything was processed two days ago (weekly claim) what was next and does this means my former employers is appeal ling my benefits

They are appealing, but you can fight it. I did before and won. Your former employee is trying to bully you, the people at unemployment will listen to your side. |

If there's a hold, sounds like your former employer is appealing. If the u.c. people consider your firing to be for serious misconduct, your application will be denied although you will then have the right to appeal. |

Yep, your employer is appealing. Most likely unemployment (UI) will decide in their favor which means no benefits for you. |
