Criminal Justice Jobs?

I have a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, minor in Sociology, pursuing a Master s in Criminal Justice. I am having no luck with career searches. I do not want to become a police officer and I am not wiling to relocate. Any ideas please help.

I graduated with a bachelors degree in criminology years ago and i didn't want to become a police officer either. Unfortunately the only job i could get was working as a youth worker in a detention facility for under-age criminals. Stressful job, under-paid, i left the job after almost 3 years. I tried to get a job as a probation officer or other criminal justice job with the government but those are almost impossible to get so after a while i just had to give up on it. I had no luck just like you did, so i ended up going back to school and getting a different degree. Good luck though.

apparently finding a job in criminal justice is nearly impossible, 94% of the people who graduate here were I live in criminal justice dont go on to work in their field.

But keep searching and maybe you should consider an alternate route if things dont work out.

What kind of job did you have in mind when you decided on your major. Not being willing to relocate will seriously restrict you, especially since you have already ruled out one of the most common jobs in Criminal Justice. My niece has that degree, and works for the state prison system, at a state prison - that might be an option for you.
