Curious about if my job an legally do this?

Alright so i am a cashier at my job. I asked for some more hours and they put me on the schedule 4 days this week as a stocker. The Stockers get paid about 3 dollars more than the cashiers and my manager told me that while i am a stocker, they aren't paying me as a stocker, they are only paying me as a cashier. Can they legally do that while i am working with others stockers who get paid more than me?

your wage is what you make, its not tied to the work you do. Its perfectly legal and I suspect that if you complain too much, you'll simply not be put on the schedule as a stocker, it might even cost you your job.
