What is the maximum allowable daily hours that a company work you? And is there a law that against working 80+ hours a week.
I am in the Security industry if that helps best answer my question.

Also, depending on what state you work in, after 12 hours a day (8 hours reg time, 4 hrs 1 1/2 time [OT]), you would be entitled to double time (double your regular pay) for every hour worked past 12 hours/day. |

Are you in the US? Maximum allowable hours per day is 24 - there is no federal law limiting the number of hours per day or per week, although in most jobs you'd have to be paid overtime for hours over 40 in a week.
Some states might have more restrictive laws than this, and other countries might have different laws. |

You should get eight hours off to sleep and time off for meals. If you are hourly, I assume you are getting overtime for those hours over 40. With all those hours, sounds like you should be bringing home a hefty pay check. If you need less hours talk to your boss or start looking to move to another company. Most people complain that they dont get enough hours but it sounds like you have the opposite problem. |
