Do I have a right to reject service in the hospital?
Find answers to your legal question.

Do I have a right to reject service in the hospital?

Nurse is rude and rushy.

Stop the Stupidity
If you are of sound mind then you can refuse service.
I do understand the rushy part, nurses can sometimes be overwhelmed in our health care system and this is not their fault.
It is the systems fault...
I do not understand nor condone the rude part, if you became a nurse to help and nurture the sick then rudeness should not be a part of your personality.

You have the right to request another nurse or doctor if you feel there is a problem. It's your right.

Lil' E.
yes u do, but if u sick, get over it and let her help u get better. Nurses can't baby u, if are an adult, say lets have a talk and work it out, be the mature person. u need her more than she needs u - let it go

You bet you do! If someone is not responsive to you and you are being reasonable, you have the right to request a different nurse. Ask to speak with the unit manager or nursing supervisor.

Definitely~ you have the right to bit*ch about that nurse to her face and to the Charge nurse on shift. If your in the ER ask to speak to the Head of ER/Chief Of Staff Dr. And you can always make a written complaint....get a name/ Id number if applicable/ write down the date/ time and as much info as you can involved so when you write the letter you have as much info as possible.
No one should be mistreated EVER! Esp. when they are sick!!!!
Im sorry that happened to you!!!
A nurse tried that with my Mother~ and after I spoke to her, she was completely different~ I think alot of it might have to do with too many patients and not enough staff and too long of hours for the employees. But I don't believe in any real excuse for abuse to people.

The bottom line though~ the hospital can not make you have treatment~thats against your rights.
