I purchase several different types of web hosting through a company which uses another company as it's payments agent. One of my payments was a few days late (5) and I had received warning that my account could be suspended. On the day that I paid my payment was accepted and 3 hours later my account was suspended. It turns out the payments company had an issue with my card which was subsequently resolved and my hosting re-instated. However, everything has gone. All my files, my domains, 9 months work has just disappeared. Now I can understand that they may have suspended my account through late payment, but deleting it is a bit much especially as all my other payments with the same card have been accepted and it is obviously an ongoing payment. My hosting company have apologised and offered me free hosting as a goodwill gesture but put the blame firmly on the payments agency who have not bothered to apologise. At this moment, I am still trying to find out 'where' my domains are, they were all pointed to the main accout which has been reinstated, but they won't direct to the account. nope you have no recourse, although most hosting companies backup there system daily, they should have them
