Do i have to work my notice? will i get paid?

i wanted to leave my job but didn't know how. i got signed off by the dr for 2 weeks,i've been off one, one more to go. i handed in my letter of resignation today saying i resigned as of today, my contract says i have to give 4 weeks notice. if i don't go back after next week for another 3 weeks when my sick note runs out will i still get paid?

i will be getting paid sick leave - i have to don't i? i just meant will i be paid for the 3 weeks after the sick pay stops, til the end of my contract notice. can i just get signed off work for the rest of the notice (another 3 weeks after next week) and not go back.

The answer to your question will be written in your contract.
If your company pays full sick pay then you will recieve pay for the sick notes submitted, if once you have submitted your notice you submit another sick note, for the rest of your notice you should recieve pay.
If you do not submit a sick note and do not work the three weeks notice you will be in breach of contract and will not be paid.

if you are paid sick leave you should be are you going to other employment if you are tell them you were out sick anyway and the reasons why as they will find out either way or put your resignation on hold and get another sick line for six months find a new job and then i would resign

Why should you be paid? If you work your notice then you will be paid. If, in effect you just walk out then you also lose any entitlement to accrued holiday pay. You are in breach of contract.
