Do people actually use fake degree's?

It is definitely illegal, and yes, stay in school!

I have seen people do it, when applying for roles. Mainly because it's rare that you'll have to demonstrate the certificate.

The times where I have seen do it is to "forget" to write that they are "currently" studying(including a year next to your degree makes someone assume that you've finished it) or forget to write that they've deferred it all together(so for example, they'll write "Bachelor's degree, so and so University, 2005), whilst in fact they have stopped studying in 2005, but have half their units left to do and they have no plans on doing them. I've seen this done a lot more with professional qualifications though, when some people say they're affiliated to a professional qualification, and employers get confused, thinking they are qualified.

All in all, the point is, this is always figured out, and can often lead to lawsuits/loss of pay, mainly because the person wasn't fit for the job(you guessed it, because they didn't have a tech knowledge because they never did the required qualifications!)

That being said, more and more are becoming qualified by experience and I see people earning much more then $100k per year, with only the equivalent of high school. This takes luck and requires for the right opportunities to come along so I wouldn't rely on it!

This one I can surely help you understand because I sold secured equipment producing school transcripts and degrees. Businesses in the hiring process mainly want your "transcript" of courses and grades. It is estimated that only 62% of businesses actually follow-up with the colleges/universities to verify. If the applicant possesses the qualities, demeanor, attitude, intelligence, etc. then their college transcript may be looked at and they are hired.

Since laser printers creating checks, diplomas, transcripts, etc. is an easy task. In the 1990"s "fake" transcripts were created at alarming rates and/or students were making grades better. I got involved with Georgia Tech when I sold a system to securing/protecting checks and accounting systems. The Registrar met with me and said people were producing transcripts and selling up to $1,500. He had gotten a call from a company on an employee due for promotion that had been there 3 years. Researching the student had attended Tech but left his sophomore year.

I attended a seminar in Savannah, GA later for "Registrars" and was able to get a better understanding of this problem. All Georgia schools experienced this. I had one of my manufacturers creat a device that require secured codes and virtually eliminated from an internal standpoint. I approached schools all over the U.S. and I sold everyone my secured device.

Yes, it does happen and I am certain it continues. Companies interviewing applicants need to verify their school attendance and completion.

Yes it is true and not only is the degree fake but so is the school that issues it. Form a cheap nonprofit corporation and sell life experience degrees to members. This post is my final exam and I pass.
